Volcano Paradise Ranch
Jewel
Jewel was purchased from Los Angles. She is a
2001 perch/paint-x. The pictures on the right were
the photos in the sale ad, the pictures far right were
taken on her arrival. Jewel is a sweet horse but not
what she was shown to be. She arrived well
underweight with feet so long, her tail a stub and her
mane pulled to english length, very sad. She has
been trimmed, shod, ground worked, saddled and
has proven herself stable enough for the trail string. Jewel
is supposed to be 15.1h, will have to tape her to be
sure. This really is a pretty little mare but we will be
breeding for a bigger horse. Jewel is starting to look
a bit more proportionate now that she has some meat
on her bones. Shes gonna be a cute little chunky
thing. We will continue to keep her in grass up to
her eyeballs and see where she goes from here. I'm
so glad to see her have a job and a future here at
VPR.
