Lightning
This 15 yr old gelding is a Morab Pintabian cross. He is stout and
well built. He has been bare foot always. He was handled using John
Lyons methods. He was born and spent 15 yrs in the same pasture
with his mother. He has always been handled gently and needs to
learn a bit more manners. He can be pushy, and has learned to kick
if he gets annoyed. He has no work ethic. He ties out and is halter
broke. He was ground worked, saddled and backed a couple of
times by his previous owner. I have done a bit of ground work with
him. He did well until he ran out of patience and wanted to go back
and hang out with his mom. He just turned around and left with a
couple of thrown hooves to show his displeasure. He shows the
ability to learn rather quickly, but a very short attention span. I
saddled him and he had no problem with it. He does not pony,
simply sits against the rope. He is not the most friendly animal and
can be a bit hard to catch. Not a herd problem, gets along well with
the other horses, not top nor bottom of the pecking order.

| Lightning has been transferred to CB Horse Rescue! Since we just haven't been able to work with him in the vicinity of his mother, it was decided to transfer him to the rescue.
